So I run at blog at GreenwichCT.com and commonly re-post my blogs here and on Trulia. Does that hurt me for SEO reasons?

I've been wondering exactly the same thing.  I post on AR, my own website, and Bigger Pockets.  I'll be watching to see everyone's comments, and I have subscribed.

Don't just post the exact same blog post. Do a rewrite or from a little different angle on a stand alone blog platform for this niche, linked to in another reworked post on another site. Cross pollenate, not the same work. Create more. If you are passionate about what you do, really care about it, it is not hard and just flows. Like a guitar solo when the muscian has left the building, is on a whole new plane and takes you for that ride. (Freebird guitar at end of song up and out. Fade to black.)

It doesn't hurt, it's good for your SEO, also always include backlinks to your website.  The more backlinks you have back to your website the better it is for your optimazaion.  Everytime you have a BLOG I would post it everywhere you able to have a blog post.  Good Luck
