I will Close one of the longest and most difficult deals for my buyer who deserves her first home more than anyone I know tomorrow. After fleeing her rental home to protect her teenage daughter from a child molester, to live with her friend, whom she thought was the best until she overstayed her welcome...to the demands of several lenders who denied her time after time(sound familiar). After 6 months, 5 loan officers, numerous delays, including the seller putting the house back on the market, waits for a Down Payment Assistance grant, my client finally closes. We have cried together, I have counseled, listened patiently to her rants, etc.
The end result is why I do this, and it's a very small loan...but to my client it is a giant step toward home-ownership. She finally did it, while going back to college at 42, living out of a friends basement, she will get what is for her, her dream house. And to top if off she gets $12,500 grant for all her efforts. Through it all, we prevailed.
This is why I love being a Realtor!!!!!!
