The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Continues: Time for the Elite 8

The games tonight and tomorrow will set the stage for culmination weekend and the Final 4. The last eight standing, and presumably the best of the rest all looking for a spot in the big game on Monday Night, The National Championship Game. Many of us are anxiously waiting to see who Conn will be playing.

The first 2 games last night went the way one would expect the games to go, with the lower seeds going down to the higher seeds, so North Carolina and Kansas advance.

The second set of games were nail biters and a lot of bracket sheets exploded as the Kentucky Wildcats upset the projected National Champion contenders Ohio State. All those brackets in Lexington are going strong with Wildcat Blue on top.

VCU, the team that had to play an entry game to get into the tournament is probably the sympathetic favorite, but they will have their hands full with Kansas, who has to be the favorite to win it all now that Ohio State has lost.

Today's games will be just as exciting as all will be laid out with a shot at playing one more weekend. This is the best tournament in sports and gathers a lot of attention.

Ed, I'm rooting for Kansas.  I spent a miserable sophomore year there on a piccolo scholarship (ran away to New York when it was over), but during March Madness, I do root for them.

Pat, I actually had picked Kansas to play in the National Title game but losing to Ohio State. If I had to pick now I would probably say Kansas, even though I would like to see mu UConn team there.

Betsy, Yes they did, but they were also supposed to be the better team when UConn beat them in Maui early in the year.

Craig, you would have to pick UNC you're running out of options. Come over to the right side.

Wanda, I knew there was something special about you. Looks and brains, what a combination

Ed tonight is a big game.  If UCONN plays like that have been, and slow down Williams, they will move on to the Final Four.

So I guess you're pretty happy right about now??? UConn in the Final Four? As I told you the other day, Duke has always been my team. So, they got hammered. But I will still cheer UConn on.

George, it is/was a great game, and the UConn streak continues. They play like seasoned veterans, not freshmen and sophomores.

Barbara, yes I am very happy. Now comes the real challenge, and we put a hurt on the team that creamed yours.
