CHARIMAN BERNANKE'S NEWS CONFERENCE APRIL 27, 2011.
Today, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve (Fed), Benjamin Bernanke, following a report on the economic condition of the U.S., participated in the Fed's FIRST news conference.
Chairman Bernanke provided the following news about the economic conditions and the Fed's forcast for near future conditions:

Typical crap. But the good news? Still the Fed seems to think there is no inflation! That's cause their house keepers do the shopping and their drivers are federal employees driving federal vehicles.
Lenn, I missed the broadcast, but I am sure that I will be hearing all about it later tonight on the news.

Hi Lenn. As usual Bernanke talked bubbles. Still not admitting that Quantitive Easing 2 was a failure which lowered the value of the dollar even more. I was not and am not amused by him.
As you know he made these inane statements:

I missed it but heard the recaps....oh please! The government at this point could be called Dumb and Dumber.
Excellent recap. It's exactly like the 2 hour conference call with the Fed legal counsel on the 4/1 Reg Z Fed Rule on originator compensation. It was all prefaced with a "we don't speak for the Fed and the interpretive clarifications on this call does not place restriction on the Fed".
Lana Robbins hit this exactly on the head. The government has no solution to unemployment and still thinks inflation is not an issue. Not only have gas prices risen 100% in 2 years, FHA's MIP has risen 209% in just 200 days (10/1/2010-4/18/2011). The federal government is completely out of touch, Federal Reserve Board included.

Melanie. Indeed. The government with the hand on the money is Hell-Bent on "investing in the environment, alternative fuels and infrastructure". Translation: Spend like a thristy drunk who just found a stuffed wallet in front of the pub. Transfer of wealth to their "chosen" is their goal and we're on the "resource" end.
I am glad that I am not the fed chairman. All the armchair quarterbacks that are available!!

Lenn- I prefer the way you said it (LOL) than what was actually said or not said depending upon how you look at it. I suppose the true "reality" (staged) show in DC is not Bravo's The Real Housewives of DC.

Kathy. I waited and waited for him to say something of substance, but all it amounted to was a reiteration of what we all know.
