I want to be content with how I have lived my life. The story is constantly changing. Life happens to us, how we react to life is what makes us special. If we can go through life, helping others, loving those around us, and adding value to the path that we walk, we have succeeded.
So in order to succeed, I most give of myself. Giving away all my possessions may make us feel good, but giving of ourselves is where I need to be today. So as the sun sets on the day, I need to ask myself a few questions.
- Did I give of myself to another today without expectations of anything in return?
- Did I except that I may not know what is best for me at any particular time today?
- And will I be able to face anyone without fear tomorrow?
If so, maybe I can then be at peace with myself.
