Active Rain Etiquette: Commenting on Another's Blog or Post

I spent Friday and today wrapping up a series about Customizable listing presentations for Realtors that ended in a major annoucement about Active Rain Staff Change Up.

Active Rain EtiquetteThis is going to be a short post (rant) about Active Rain etiquette when commenting on another's post, article, or content

  • If there is an issue that the commentor has about the commentee information and copyright issues, Please use Active Rain Etiquette and address the commentee in a private email, not in a comment for the public to see.
  • The commentor shall put his or her thoughts as they relate to the article, content, or posting. (Most of us do pretty good at that)
  • The commentor shall not put up spam post with a link that directs to the commentor's offsite to some BS claim, item or otherwise inappropriate comment or content.  Makes the commentee look bad (but that there is an opinion)
  • Biggest No No of Active Rain Etiquette:  The commentor shall never, ever put up links or other information that tries to sell the commentor's wares, service, or otherwise on the post of a commentee (that just aint right.
    •
      • For those needing help with creating sales, optimizing content to rank for commentor's preferred key search terms or keywords, please attend the ARU or Raincamp.

Thanks for the heads up.

I have a question in regards to the line that appears after my name when I post here?

Is that considered a link??

If that is the case, every time I comment, I am guilty of the offense of high jacking someones blog when  I comment.

The link after your name is ok

But when you are putting a link into a comment trying to sell something or turn others to your own content, not cool

IMHO

Thanks for commenting ans asking
