Dinner at Z-Pie's Tonight - A Local Dinner

I just got back from having dinner at Z-Pie's in Placerville. If you like pot pies, this is the place to go. Just off Main Street, 50 feet from the 50 freeway, it is very convenient.

The place was not crowded, so we were seated quickly. I had the Rosemary Lamb, my wife had the Southwestern Chicken. Both were very good. We shared a locally grown salad that is very tasty.

The cost was about $22.00 after all was done. Nothing fancy about the place, just good food. I would highly recommend eating here if you ever get the chance to be in Placerville, CA

Hi Tom,

I did a "Consulting stint" in Ca. back in the 80's. I used to go  up there to Placerville from Oakdale.

We used to go nearly every weekend. Can't recall the place you mentioned, but it seemed they all had good food.

Tom - I love a good chicken pot pie and it's not easy to find a restaurant that make a really good one. That's why my son is always asking me to make a homemade one...or two - it's a lot of work but oh, so delicious!
