CENTURY 21's national headquarters has just released its rankings for the year-to-date ending with the last day of May 2011.
Based on "sale sides" I came in at Number 35 out of the thousands of agents working in this large section of Florida. It is nice to see that the company is noticing the work I do.
How do I keep myself in the top levels from month-to-month? Maybe one of the reasons is the attention I pay to the needs of my customers, buyers and sellers. I try to go the extra mile to make things work for them so that they can obtain their goals. For example, recently my father and I trimmed back tree limbs that were resting on the roofs of two of my listings. The sellers lived faraway, and it would have been pretty costly to hire a tree company to do the work. Dad and I were happy to help out. I have even put bolts in deck railings to help eliminate the risk that potential buyers and their agents would fall. These and many other little details are taken care of by me so that my customers don't have to. By doing this, I gain the loyalty of my clients, and in turn, they refer many buyers and sellers to me. In this business, word of mouth is worth a lot!
Another reason I am successful is my broad use of the internet. Unlike many agents, I do not rely on just the few websites that all listings are automatically placed on. Instead, I have purchased sites of my own and also utilize many of those offered by other companies. At this time, my listings are on over 50 internet sites and often come up high on the result list when buyers conduct searches. By doing this, I also control the content and can load the sites with high quality pictures that buyers love to see.
My latest innovation is the addition of video tours of my listings. I purchased a high-definition camera, and with the help of my computer, I can put together nice videos of each home with commentary, captions, background music, etc. These can be easily accessed by users of the internet via YouTube.com and other sites. Pretty neat, and something the tech savy people love to see! Just another way to make sure each home gets plenty of effective exposure to the home buying public.
