But, a website called "Discover the Forest"" just might be your compass to unlimited kid friendly adventures - from Clark County, Washington and points beyond.

"Discover the Forest," is a beautiful and user friendly website that features an interactive map to help you find forests, parks and waterways close to home in Clark County,Washington - or, where ever your summer travels may take you.  You can customize your search to include such criteria as biking, hiking and fishing. Plus, designate the type of site  you prefer whether it’s a playground, campground or wildlife refuge.

But that can be our little secret!  For example, there’s how to’s for creating leaf rubbings, learning to use a compass, making a water scope and creating a nature collage. There’s even a PDf book explaining all the fun “stuff to do” that you can easily download with Adobe. On rainy days, your kids can take a virtual hike or listen to and identify animal sounds on the “Discover the Forest” website.
