Anderson Park is located in Tarpon Springs Florida, on the shores of Lake Tarpon. This park is especially noteworthy because it is so hilly in an area that is otherwise relatively flat. The park entrance is directly off of US 19 in Tarpon Springs.
There is so much to do in Anderson Park which has picnic areas, a boat launch so you can access wonderful Lake Tarpon with your boat, playgrounds for the little ones and the not so little ones as well! There are hiking trails and nature trails awaiting your inspection.
The boat ramp is open 24 hours a day, as are the fishing piers! If there is one thing that Lake Tarpon has, it is some LARGE bass! Naturally, as with any body of water in Florida, there may be a gator around as well, so use common sense and caution!
One thing that most people are not aware of is that Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs Florida also has a great dog park! Poochie will love being able to romp with like-minded friends!
Anderson Park was originally opened in 1964 and today it encompasses 135 acres! There are nine picnic shelters, restroom facilities and the fact that the boat ramp is FREE makes it a local favorite!
There is so much to do in the Tarpon Springs Florida area of Pinellas County and Anderson Park is just one of several fantastic parks in the area!
