What are the New Most Important Elements on Business Cards? After 22 years at Altas Realy, I just joined Keller Williams Cupertino and I'm in the process of ordering new signs and new business cards. Before I do, I would love to get input and perspective (and maybe even some tips, do's and don'ts) from my ActiveRain colleagues on what to keep and what to leave off.
I know the most important are my name, phone number, email, website, fax #, California Dept. of Real Estate License number and broker name and address.
Some people say agent image photos are good, others say icons are better. (I wish agents would stop the boudoir/glamour shots though, looks like some are selling the wrong product line if you know what I mean).
What about QR codes-should I have one on there with my info?
On the back I like to put room for my "introduce me" by refferal only language, purpose or mission, team contacts and why I shared my card (open house, showing, etc.) But it can end up with teeny-tiny type, making it hard to read.
What about all of my social media icons? My broker Chris Alston of Keller Williams Cupertino has them on his cards and I love the look.
So ActiveRain, Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn-anything else worthwhile or maybe still too trendy? (x. Google+, Klout, Tumblr, etc.)
I like to include my designations but I think I should include the explanations and then I'm using postcards instead of business cards.
Obviously full color is desirable. While I love the look of glossy cards, you can't write on the darn things, so I can't leave even a "hi" message without looking like a kindergartener.
What about putting the referral fee I'm willing to pay another agent?
And what about the Unique Selling Proposition or Call to Action? Such as "I Sell Your Home in 28 Days or I Give You $1,000."
Thanks in advance for your help. I'm looking forward to your helpful thoughts on tips, do's and don'ts for today's business cards.
