William, Those concert series sound wonderful and the venues are all great. San Diego has so much to offer its residents and visitors alike. I hope you have a great Saturday night no matter what venue you choose!

William, These do sound like great events. It is wonderful that communities are still doing this kind of thing in light of the economic times that we live in!

H Rob, It never ceases to amaze just how many things we do have. Impossible to go to many of these and still work, lol but there is always something to do here when one can plan the time to take advantage of them.

Hi Yolanda, I planned the day off and attended the Art Fest in Laguna Beach. It is quite an amazing event and features annually the "Pagent of the Masters" which is spectacular.

Hi Tony, I have to share in your thoughts about all these events. Thankfully this area is rich in those that support these cultural events and helps to ensure no matter the economy, we have plenty of access to the arts in all forms.

Hi William, A

Always something to do in San Diego. Surveys usually show folks living in San Diego are very active and get out of the home certainly more than we do.  How is the weather in San Diego right now? It is way too hot and dry in Texas.

If I were there, I would want to attend the Automobile Heritage Day as well as the concerts. Enjoy August and be sure to take time to enjoy your favorite activities, with your camera in hand.

Thanks for your positive feedback on the photograph in my blogs.  I value your comments and appreciate your support and suggestions.  Sometimes, those flower pictures turn out very well.

 Blooming for you!

William - That's a really wonderful looking venue of events to complete the summer activites in your area.  "The Night at the Museum Sleepover" would be fun kids.  Heck, even I'd enjoy it.

In Sacramento, The Sacramento Zoo has sleepovers.  It is always a delightful experience for children and adults that go with them.  But somehow, after our last conversation, I have this vision of a bear on the loose, and you fighting to not say, "OW". . .LOL

Hi Robert, This morning when I was on an ActiveRain webinar, it was in the mid 70's. Being more inland than coastal, the temperature increased in the low 90's this afternoon. So it is pretty warm here as well today. The nights get down into the 60's so it is great for sleeping.

The weather here coastally where so many events take place is much more moderate and it draws out so many people to attend the the events. It would be by most standards , near perfect weather. And San Diego always has a ton of things to do throughout the year. When you get really cold in Texas in the winter months, the weather is still very moderate ( 60's and 70's) and with the usually sunny days, it is perfect weather to get out and about in San Diego.

Hi Myrl, I loved the movie, Night at the Museum. When I was growing up, there was never anything like this. We had the local community swimming areas but not much else. There are Sleepovers at Safari Park called "Snore With the Animals" that are quite popular but I haven't been to one. It is really for families with kids, not someone walking around with a camera looking for things that crawl around in the dark only to realize that there was nothing captured on the memory card, LOL

Hi Bill, There is so much and I get to a few things but honestly, to get to many of these events, a person would need to be retired and have no other commitments. The cool part is, you never have to wait long for the extravagant events, they seem to be happening year around , nearly every month.

All of these events sound fun- I would not know where to start! I was able to do a fun concert a few years back in Del Mar.
