The number of closed transactions for Belknap and Carroll Counties saw a slight decline from 164 in September 2006 to 160 in September of 2007. Despite the number days on market increasing 20 days to an average of 130 there was some positive news being that the average sale price rose from $354,161 in September 2006 to $348,085 in the same month in 2007.
Pending sales, however were down to 112 from 140 in September 2006 leading us to believe that there is not much improvement in the Lakes Region real estate market in the near future. None the less, inventory is still at a record high and it is a great time for buyers to step off the sidelines, participate in the game, and score a goal!
