Abused and neglected children. Unfortunately, you can find them in all our communities.

It seems unbelievable this could happen in our small, little, rural southern town or for that matter in Anytown, USA.  But it does, everyday.

For the last two years, I have had the privilege of working with an organization in our community known as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

The mission of CASA is to recruit, train, and supervise community volunteers to be advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system.

Seems pretty amazing to find volunteers willing to take on such a task.  Well,  we have them in Henderson County TN as well as many other counties across the United States.  Volunteers willing to stick beside this child until they are placed in a permanent, safe home.

CASA of Henderson County invites you to Lexington High School on October 1, 2011, 7PM.  Murder Mystery Dinner.

Tickets can be purchased at RE/MAX Unlimited, 10850 Highway 412 West, Lexington, TN as well as many other area businesses.

Henderson County CASA is now serving 81 children in the Henderson County Court System.

Please help support this wonderful program.  The children are counting on YOU!!!!

CASA is a non-profit organization.  All proceeds from this event go to CASA of Henderson County.

Tim,

I have the utmost admiration for Foster parents.  Don't know what some of the children would do without them.
