By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Platinum

Are you bringing in a fresh evergreen for the holidays?  Make sure the exit strategy is equally green.  Wrap it in a biodegradable Tree Life Bio-Bag ($10, at Home Depot and Lowe's) for easy removal.  Also, check for free tree mulching in your community.  This service can turn your pine into a gift for your garden.  Enjoy the holidays!

Kristin-That is a neat suggestion for recycling. That's one way to keep the evergreen contributing to the cycle of life. It is a better solution than having the tree go to a landfill.

I agree.

If you do decide to kill a tree, at least recycle it and not throw it into the landfill.

Good afternoon, Kristin. Great idea. In this area, the city grinds up Christmas trees and recycles them in paths in area parks...

I agree Sally..I was dealing with a horrible computer virus yesterday, but today the xmas decorations start to go up...we do an artificial tree, but I always like one fresh wreath in the house.  HOpe you are well.

Gita, I just saw that...had no clue :-)

In Johnson City we have a tree drop off and the city uses the trees for a fish habitat in our lakes.  It's pretty cool.

Kristin , we take my Christmas Tree out on the frozen lake in front of my father's home & stick the base in a used ice fishing hole . It looks great for the winter & when the ice melts it becomes natural structure on the bottom of the lake for the fish . Ed
