TO THE CAULK FAMILY: IN LOSS, THERE IS A GIFT...That Gift Is Given To All Who Are Witness To The Loss

I just found out about the death of Missy Caulk's Granddaughter Lillian---This loss, unimaginable after the loss of her son Jamie, in October this year puts many things into perspective, for me and many others I am sure!. I just have to share the view I now have about life itself.

TO THE CAULK FAMILY ON THIS CHRISTMAS DAY:

I truly believe in Divine Intervention--There really IS a certain amount of loss and tragedy that is dealt to each and everyone ofTHERE IS A GIFT OF LOVE THAT IS GIVEN IN LOSS us--We are given that which we are able to handle and nothing more!...and there is always a reason for the intervention.

I also believe that there are beings who come into our reality to guide and to give "measure" to our capabilities as human beings....the measure of loss in your family is enormous and in that enormity, we are all given a gift: In sharing the sadness of these unimaginable losses, we get to see how we measure up to the way that Life and God "Giveth and Taketh away"....My life is different, just knowing about your losses. I have had my share of family tragedies and it is not easy!; but I have found that there is always a "Gift" in the loss of a loved one--I pray and believe that your family has found the Gift in your very large loss!

On This Christmas Day and in  spite of all the sadness , I pray that you find the Gift and the Blessings that these two human beings, here for such a short period of time, have given to you.

Paula, this is a nice tribute - I have been thinking of Missy, Christa, and Bob and the rest of the family a lot last night and this morning.

Courtney: My heart goes out to them all! I had no idea that there were 2 tragedies they have to deal with! I only hope they are strong and that they can see the gift that these 2 have given them!

Paula, it is unimaginable what they are going through, this is such a nice tribute. Missy has such strong faith I know it is helping to carry her through. That and the 2 newest angels that surround her.

Andrea: I am so moved by the whole thing!---when Jamie died I was so upset for Missy and could not see how she was going to be able to handle the loss--now this! I must say that I now understand how strong Missy really is...this applies to the whole family!  I do believe that we are dealt only what we can handle--the way we handle these things is the "story" about us. The "Story" is our lives and it follows us beyond the grave and even into the here-after...I have lost many family members--5 altogether and all within a short time span and this has been a course in miracles in and of itself. I know Missy and Bob and Christa will all be fine simply because they ARE so strong.

Ron: We all have been deeply moved by these losses. This community has been so responsive to the situation; there is also a memorial that is being organized for a bench at the family's favorite spot--If you want to donate, send a check made out to "The Jamie and Lillian Caulk Memorial Fund", to Carol Grubb, 3647 W Greenook Drive, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48103

It is a hard thing and your post makes us all think of how fragile a life is. I pray for the families and as others have said I thought of the Caulk family as well.
