I calculated that the commission on a purchase is about eight times that of a rental. My Realtors all believe in the factor of 8 and analyze the possiblities of purchasing for all rental applicants. I customize presentations for them if there is an opportunity to convert them.

I love he video. But since I am in the mortgage business, I would have preferred to show a loan with 3.5% downpayment instead of a loan of 100%. Only veterans can do that but FHA offers a 3.5% downpayment mortgage. Thanks

Great reblog! With prices where they are and interest rates so low, it's often much better to own than rent. It's especially true with homes priced close to median or average prices. Down here it's only when homes get into the $2M range that the cost of renting becomes better.

Keith -- your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to do your own video for FHA financing. You'd probably get even MORE converts :)

Bryan -- the buyer is certainly in the driver's seat to take advantage of the lower rates and prices.
