The sunset tonight was obstructed by the clouds, making for a unique end to the day. It’s funny how you notice the sunsets with greater appreciation when away from the day-to-day tasks at home. Maybe I should take the time to notice the many small events that happen throughout the day.
Tomorrow we hope to get to the top of Haleakala before sunrise. This means that I will need to leave at about 2:00am; not too long from now. I better get to bed.
I'm thawing out on the shore, it was freezing up there.

Getting away from the rat race makes everything seem better. The sunsets are more spectacular, the food tastes better and the phone doesn't seem to ring as often. (especially if it's turned off) Have a great vacation.
Maybe I will consider framing it.
