Did You Know?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Platinum

Did you know that almost 60 percent of household dust, which may contain lead, arsenic and other pollutants, comes from tracked-in soil and airborne particles from outside?  To keep it to a minimum, wipe down pets before letting them back inside, wipe shoes on outdoor mats and leave coats and shoes by the door.  Eliminate impurities that do make it indoors by changing air conditioner/heating filters regularly and using a vacuum equipped with a HEPA filter.

I notice that more and more people are not allowing shoes in their homes.  Makes sense!

We are fortunate, Kristin.  Our pets neither come inside nor go outside.  The cats stay in the house to keep the bird populations up, and the dogs stay outside to keep the vole, mice and rabbit populations down.

Good points.  Now, if Chief Cook could teach me to wipe my feet, we'd be set.

Good tip, Kristin. Shoes should not come in the house, I guess. My two cats never go out so I've got that handled :)

I always try to remove shoes when i come to someone's house.

In my country, it is a custom ( showing respect), so i keep that way:)
