Wisconsin Realtors Association Reports Housing Sales Up for Eighth Consecutive Month - Ashland & Bayfield County Statistics Still Lag Behind Much of Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) reports that February 2012 was the eighth month in a row in which sales rose.  Prices are down, but sales volume is on track to continue rising this year.

At the end of February, things in Ashland County were still running behind State average sales volume, with ten closed sales in the County during February.

Things were a bit better in adjacent Bayfield County, with thirteen closed sales and a much higher median price.

On Madeline Island, things are hopping.  To my knowledge, there are currently four pending dwelling sales in the 54850 zip code area.  Our Madeline Island Realty office experienced its busiest month in sixteen months during February.

We also have a pending condominium sale in Bayfield, WI (54814).
