March 23^rd is National Puppy Day

I woke up this morning and the local television network said today is National Puppy Day. They were talking about real estate, local news, what I call the Enquirer news, and then they mentioned National Puppy Day! Oh, happy day as I love my puppies.

I just wanted to take a moment to be thankful for all the dogs and cats I have had in the past and the wonderful pets I have now. Please stop by and comment and leave a picture of your dog, cat or even bird.

Your puppies are too cute. We lost my old timer just about two weeks ago. We had to put him to sleep. For Christmas my husband wanted a new puppy so he gave one to me as a present. Now that Chaco is gone, I feel like I can give more to my new little guy.

You are so right, they are adorable...every single one of them. I have always wanted to work at our Humane Society as a volunteer but I am afraid I would want to take them all home and I have 3 now so that would be an impossible situation. I think sometimes it would stress me out. Do you have a pet? If so, post his/her picture.

Hi Debbie,

Sorry about Chaco but when they cannot live a normal and pain-free life, it is time. I lost my two 15 yr old dogs in 2010 and I still miss them every day but my 3 cuties all needed homes and we needed them. Our lives are so much fuller with them. Good Luck with the new puppy...pups are so cute!

Kristin-I haven't had a dog for many years. Mom has a 3 yr old Westie. I had a German Shepherd named Muffy. She was a spoiled princess.

Hi Sharon,

I know how hard it hurts like the pain will never go away but somehow it does ease up and we remember the good times. I miss my Princess and Snowy and it has been 2 years for both. Your Muffy does look like she was a spoiled princess and Lindsey was so pretty. May your sadness be replaced with good thoughts and when the time is right, find a rescue pet who needs your love and care. Bless you!
