Good camera shot and great analogy.  Winson, you hit the nail on the head.  That looks like a fairly good sized turtle.

Great analogy and you are so correct. The turtle never see things as obsticles, probably as a journey.

Come down to Boca and go to Gumbo Limbo at night when they have the progam. You will never forget seeing the Lumberback lay eggs in the sand. 

The 2012 Turtle Walk Program

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center will be conducting Turtle Walks on select evenings from May 24 – July 5, 2012.    Turtle Walks will be held on May 24 and May 31 (Thursdays); every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night in June; and July 3 and 5 (Tuesday and Thursday).

The program begins at 9:00 PM in the Gumbo Limbo classroom, and ends by 11:00 PM on the beach. Due to the nature and late hour of the program, children must be 8 years of age or older. Adults must participate with children and teens under the age of 18. Tickets are $15 per person. General Ticket sales will begin on May 12, 2012 during regular business hours and must be purchased in person. There is a limit of 6 tickets per person.

Members of Friends of Gumbo Limbo may participate in the Members Only Advanced Ticket Sale, where they will have the opportunity to purchase tickets at a reduced rate before tickets are made available to the public. The number of tickets a Member is entitled to purchase during the presale, and at a reduced rate, is dependent on the Membership level.

• Individual Membership: 2 tickets at $8 each
• Family Membership: 6 tickets at $8 each
• Contributor Membership & above: 10 tickets at $8 each

Members may purchase additional tickets at full price during the General Sale.

The Members Only Advanced Ticket Sale will begin on May 5, 2012 and continue through May 11, 2012 or until the allotted tickets are sold out. Members who are current as of 4:00 PM May 4, 2012 will be eligible for the presale and discount. Memberships purchased or renewed after 4 PM on May 4, 2012 are not eligible for the Member Presale or discount. Click here to become a Member.
