What Would The Easter Bunny Do?
Just in time for Easter, my friend Richard has written a little article about the Easter bunny and the typical holiday tradtions. And who could resist a song and dance by Fred Astaire either!
What Would The Easter Bunny Do?This is not a religious discussion about Easter, it's about
The Easter Bunny. The Christian celebration of Easter is to commemorate the rising of Jesus, from the dead. Which is a pretty significant event. So, what's the deal with The Easter Bunny bringing eggs?
That's a good question!
A popular explanation is that rabbits are symbolic of fertility. That's right! Bunnies mature sexually at a young age and have multiple litters per year. They are especially active in the Spring. Did you know that a female bunny can conceive a second litter of offspring while still pregnant with a first litter?
While no one is certain,
Colorful Easter Eggs may represent the blooming of flowers which signify the fertility of Mother Earth. Eggs in general are considered a sign of fertility.Fertility seems to be the underlying theme, which closely connects to the beginning of the growing season in SPRING and the replenishment of life. Resurrection? An egg does contain new life. But, this is not a religious discussion about Easter, it's about The Easter Bunny.
Some people believe that bunnies actually lay eggs, this is not true. Birds, and apparently Dinosaurs, lay eggs, but not bunnies. I wonder what an Easter Dinosaur would bring? Probably A Chocolate Bunny, with no head.
Where does the Easter Bunny get the eggs? Don't think about.
No matter what you believe, let's celebrate Easter with Song & Dance
What Would The Easter Bunny Do?
If it's Easter, The Easter Bunny will be handing out colored eggs, because that's what The Easter Bunny does on Easter. The "REAL" question is, What Would The Easter Bunny Do, if there were no colored eggs?
Happy Easter, Happy Easter
