Bernal Heights Gem - Liberty Cafe: Warm, Extraordinary Service Paired with Delicious Food
We recently had dinner at one of Bernal Heights true gems, The Liberty Cafe. The location on Cortland Avenue is perfect for this neighborhood favorite. We were promptly greeted by Julie. She was delightful, warm, attentive, going out of her way time and time again to ensure we had the perfect experience...and we did. Not only was the service wonderful, but Julie made the dining experience fun as well.
Under new ownership, the owner of Vega right across the street have done a great job keeping the cafe true to it's origin while improving the menu. The chicken pot pie is excellent and a patron's favorite. The mussels were delicious. Make use to save room for desert!
If you haven't been to Liberty Cafe in Bernal Heights, make a reservation and then run don't walk, for a fantastic dining experience.
