What are pods? They're giant moving bins that are transported to the house you're moving from and unloaded into your driveway or other area near your home. Then when you're ready to move into your new home, the pod will be brought to the new location where, as when you packed it in the first place, you'll have ample time to unload it into your new house.

Most companies offer three sizes of pods so you can mix and match as needed to make room for all the items you want to move. If you can't or just don't want to pack your unit, they can also put you into contact with local personnel who will help with packing, loading and unloading.

So whether you're moving across the country or across town, this may be an option you'll want to consider. Even if you're not moving at all but are remodeling, you could rent a unit to store things during the work phase. They also suggest using them to store furnishings if disaster such as floods, fires or storm damage strikes your home.
