United States Navy's 26th Original Bay Bay Bridge Run/Walk

 

The U.S. Navy's 26th Bay Bridge Run/Walk is coming up on Sunday, May 20.
This is the public's only chance each year to walk (or run) across the magnificent
San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge:

Event starts at 8:00 a.m. at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront:

The route covers about four miles, ending at Coronado's Tidelands Park.

Runners receive T-shirts, Padres tickets, and complimentary transportation back to downtown via bus, trolley, or ferry — take the ferry for the best views of downtown San Diego:

The run/walk riases money for the Navy's Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs, providing Quality of Life programs for our 500,000+ active duty and retired military, reservists, their family members, and civilian employees who make up our San Diego Military Family.

This is a unique way to help our soldiers who fight for our freedom and to get some unequaled views of Coronado and downtown San Diego.

Jim, this run sounds like my kind of thing.    It sounds like it is set in a very scenic area.  Maybe on of these days I can run a race in California....if not this one.
