The Battle Never Ends....Sometimes It's Like Beating A Dead Horse

This has been a slow week!!  With every burst of activity, we always get excited and race to capture as much business as possible.  When the last soldier is captured, and the calm returns, it’s another sign that we need to do “double time” with our marketing.

I’m preparing to send thousands of postcards to a variety of groups of people for a number of different properties.  It’s going to seem like a universal bomb that hits everyone.  I’m sending to the 55+ group; the first time home buyer; the potential buyer who is interested in moving to their next home; and luxury new home buyers.

Summer is around the corner and the heat of the summer is not particularly the best time for home sales.  The time is now, and one week of calm concerns me.  My blogging today was focused on open house events at two subdivisions, and the last time I checked, I had eight of the ten titles for a google search for “open house May 13 franklin ma.”  We rely on our open house events to result in new transactions for our new construction.  I posted open house blogs on five different platforms, today.  The moral of this post is to just keep marketing, even when it seems like you're beating a dead horse.  Something will trigger another rash of deals!!

Prospecting is supposed to be a continuous process. I don't know anyone personally who does it constantly if they work alone. Not saying that's good, but we all go through the yips.

Barbara, in this business you have to beat a dead horse in order to keep the pipe line full. Much success with your latest effort.

Hi Scott....thanks so much.... you already know that you need to remain focused on marketing for future business....and that's why you always have business in the pipeline....

Ron....if you work alone, you should have your marketing so that it's automatically done....i.e., my marketing dept. will mail the postcard I email them to the database I request and mail them on the date I request.... I never did any of the physical work....someone else did it....I just ordered it to be done.....

Yes, there is a lull in the market this week,  Mother's Day preparations!   I agree postcards are a very effective marketing tool.

Barbara...I have been so busy that I have not had time to think.  Buyers are under contract and ready to close so the pace has slowed down, which is kind of welcome, and I have a bunch of new buyers just starting to look but most are waiting until after Mother's Day.
