I have to say congrats to my son who tried pitching for the first time this year. Coach gave him his shot and he did pretty good I would say.. The first 6 pitches resulted in 2 strike outs and the 7th one was hit right to him and he threw the guy out at first. Way to go son, I see a bright future ahead of you on the pitchers mound, goes to show you that practice makes perfect.

Hi Todd - Sounds like you're raising a little superstar!  And I love the professional looking windup too.

That's super, Todd. Congrats to your son. Years ago a coach gave my husband a 'chance' and that one chance allowed him to show his stuff. He ended up being the star running back no one could catch. Tell your son practice defintely does make perfect!

Yay, for your son! How old is he... he look about our son, Ben's age (11). Too bad we don't live a little closer so they could play each other! It's great to hear he's having a good season.

Todd if he is that good and he wants to play in High School get him in Travel Ball and about 12 or 13 get a coach to work with him (I am getting by cheap at about $50.00 per session.)

I'll never forget my son's first pitching experience. He was eight. The first ball was right over the plate but a tad low. The coach told him, to keep the same velocity but just a tad bit higher. He lost control of the second pitch and it went over the backstop and broke the coaches windshield of his brand new car...

Todd,

My son was a pitcher as well.  Always so much excitement at that position and so much responsibility.  It was a little nerve racking but fun to watch him!  Enjoy watching your son!!!
