Create More Time in Your Day!

Services for Real Estate Pros with RealSupport Inc.

Do you ever feel as though you get lost in your daily tasks and before you know it, the day is over?  Do you ever wish for just a few more hours to get stuff done?  It’s something most of us struggle with as we succumb to the tyranny of the urgent or the desire to do everything at once.

So how can you break this vicious cycle and gain back that precious time each day?  Training yourself to remain organized and focused on your goals is key!  Chris Brogan, president of Human Business Works which is a small business education and growth company, pointed out a five ways to find more time in your day.  Here are a few of his quick tips that I thought would be most beneficial for you in the real estate industry.

1. Zero-tolerance list
Make a list of things you need to stop doing so you can devote more time and focus to your business instead.

2. The rule of thirds
Start tracking your time. The goal: Dedicate one-third of your day to prospecting for new clients, one-third to executing business tasks and the remainder to supporting existing clients.

3. Ten Replies a Day

President Obama responds to 10 written letters every workday. It's one of his rituals--and it's just plain smart. Put the practice to work and commit to replying to at least that many e-mails, blog or Facebook comments or tweets each day. This simple gesture improves loyalty and once done, allows you to move on to other tasks in your day.

Now you may feel that one or two of these will actually add more to your ‘to do’ list, but once you get in the habit of these three practices, you’ll find yourself more in control of how you spend your time and your overall efficiency.

If you’ve already taken on great organizational practices and still find yourself wishing for more time in a day, or you’re ready to initiate your zero-tolerance list; let us know!  Our main goal as Real Estate Virtual Assistants is to lighten your work load and free you up to do the things that only you can do!

Whether you need help with your social media, real estate blogging, marketing your listings, creating a monthly newsletter, or whatever else you need to take off your plate; we can help!  Feel free to contact us today to talk about your needs and how we can take care of them for you.

Great tips! I think that comments or replies each day should become a second-nature part of the daily routine. We definitely want to keep up with people and keep them interested! But all in all, very excellent suggestions. Especially the zero-tolerance list.

Hi Bud & Beth, thanks so much for the comment! We agree that it's important to keep up with people and make replying a daily part of your routine, however it's also exceedingly important to monitor how much replying that you're doing. It can be a MAJOR use of your time and keep you from doing other important tasks that need to get done. There's also the fact that one gets caught up in getting replies done quickly, and as a result may not provide the adequate response that the sender of the email is looking for.

Thanks again for your input! We hope you'll read some more of our blogs and comment on those, too.
