Apparently the rain did not learn how to read. Hope the floods didn't leave to much damage behind.
This is going to a Texas City soon with Debbie circulating the Gulf. Have the sandbags and pumps ready. A Royal mess.
Good morning Sharon Lee. What a picture indeed. Is this picture something you took? I think this could be in Duluth, Minnesota.
Wow! I'm sure glad that I wasn't where that was. That's way too much water.
Sharon, it reminds me that every time there is a heavy rain - someone always thinks they can get through the highwater in their vehicle often with disastrous results.
Morning Sunshine..cute SS...how is the garden looking? I am sure Lindsey watches over you every day!
You wouldn't need to tell me this twice. Stop indeed. Interesting - I just visited Gary's blog and he is all about the Yield sign this morning...maybe I will visit another blog and get a "green light." Ha. Happy Sunday to you. :)
Barbara-Frightening indeed. I sure hope so.
Cindy-Apparently it didn't or maybe it did because it stopped before the sign submerged. :-) Unfortunately floods always leave more damage than any of us want. Mother Nature can be fierce.
Winston-Sometimes there is time to prepare with sandbags and other times not so much.
Shelia-No it isn't. It is from the Duluth Minn flood.
Wayne and Jean-Thankfully it isn't in my area> This is from the Duluth Minn floods. The weather can cause major damage in its wake and this is a picture showing just that.
Jeanne and Ralph-Indeed too much.
Gary-It sure is.
Mona-Often times either people think it can't happen to them or they just are foolish and other times they are caught off guard.
Kristin-Garden is doing well and Lindsey's spirit is always with me.
Debb-A green light would be better than that stop sign. :-) You wouldn't have to tell me twice either. YIKES!!!!
That water seems pretty deep! I hope you didn't taker his picture which means that you are in neck deep water.
Ha... Sharon! I just commented on Gary's 'Yield' post, and now your 'Stop' post... I think someone's trying to tell me something. I've gotten 2 tickets in the past 4 weeks for not stopping or yielding... oops! Okay... I get it, I get it!
Oh wow, Sharon that is quite a photo. I can't help but wish we had some of that water over here. Crazy, one area floods while another has drought....too much of anything is a not good thing :-]
Sussie-No worries. I didn't take the pic. I am crazy but not quite that crazy.
Mel-I would have NEVER guessed YOU were a lead foot. Something we have in common. Smiling
Mary-Isn't it strange how one area gets too much and your area that could use it doesn't. You are at the OTHER end of the weather. Neither good. Stay safe my friend.
Sharon, not that I wish such devastation upon Duluth, but I'm glad that STOP sign isn't in your neighbourhood! Hope you're well and enjoying your pool in this heat.
Sharon, LOL What a great photo! I hope that there wasn't too much damage done with the water!
Susan-I am glad it isn't in my neck of the woods either. I don't wish that on any area but unfortunately most all areas have inclement weather to deal with. Heat here as it is supposed to be 100* on Friday. I was in the pool yesterday and most likely will be most all week. Can't do anything much today. I have inflamed muscles in my rib cage. PAINFUL!!!!
Tony & Darcy-Not in my area at least but in Duluth there was a LOT.
Sharon, I've been so busy saying "Oh, crap! No, Kasa!!!" (literally, oh crap) that a flood would put me right over the edge of sanity. I missed Gary's yield sign and went right to STOP. That is: stop sleeping, stop having a life, stop the MADNESS. I have been up since 2am, tried to catch a nap and Miss Kasa howled outside in the doggie den with Takoda, so that stopped, too.
Now, I have to go stop her from chewing the rug and "re direct" her to the myriad of appropriate chew toys strewn about the floor!
(I intended to get this to you with a photo, and was so tired, I was falling asleep while writing this).
Sharon, I guess mother nature doesn't take 'people' signs into consideration...
Gayle-All that is making me tired just thinking about it. I can only imagine the wild time there you are having at Fishhawk, That is what we sign up for with new babies, not so much with kitties. She is a cutie though. Lindsey has been gone 4 mo as of yesterday. I sure do miss her and I know you know what that is like. Thank you so much for sharing with Auntie Sharon.
Peg-I don't think Mother Nature ever takes people or pets into consideration. Part of life but not a fun part.
