Note to self: JUST BREATHE!

Have you ever gotten so involved with something that it completely consumed you? I guess, at one point or another, we all have been there. It kept you away from your loved ones, your friends, your obligations, your health…

If you see yourself in one of those crazy vortexes that comes into our lives from time to time, stop for a little, evaluate the situation, remove all the 'drama' factor...then ask yourself -  Does this have a different solution, what if I change my perspective just an inch? Is it as intense and important as I believe it is? Should I believe everything my thoughts are telling me, or is it all just that - fruit of my thoughts and immagination? Sometimes the best strategy to fight is not to get too entangled into it, but to stop, look around for a sometimes easy and simple solution and breathe. It always surprises me to see that the most complex issues have, almost always, the simplest of the solutions.

When you realize that you are being dragged down by the power of the situation it might just be an indicator that it is time to REST, RELAX, REGENERATE!!!

Remember, you come first in your life, so take care of you first. You can only give your best to others when you are in touch with your best yourself.

It’s Tuesday. Love each other so much today that it overwhelms you and spills over onto others.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!  (N. Cardoso - inspired by a thought from T. Bovi)

Some days it feels like we need to schedule time to breathe.  In fact, that is not a bad idea.  Thanks for the reminder.  We are supposted to be the calming force in the deal.

I had a manager who had scheduled 20 minutes every morning to do just that, no calls, e-mails, interruptions.

@David,

One of the most influential man I have had the opportunity to work with, would take a 15 minutes break every day in the middle of the day (after lunch) to meditate. Everything was put on hold, including his wife and children's calls. Unless was a case of life or death, no one was allowed to interrupot him. His was in his late 70's and had that habit for over 35 years. Even thought he was a gennius in the financial world, when asked what was the secret of his success he would attribute most of it to the practice of meditation and relaxitation...he always said breathing when his blood is boil.ing is the most safe and reliable way to avoid a big mistake... thank you for stoping by and expressing yoru opinion.

@Lisa

You are right, many of today's transactions are problems after problems some even after the closings...someone has to keep it cool and I guess this is our job... thank you for stoping by and speaking up.
