Speechless Sunday-Camping on Fishhawk Lake

By
Real Estate Agent with John L Scott Market Center 700512026

Woke up this morning after a lively night of music being played at the clubhouse in celebration of a Fishhawk Lake member’s recent marriage and saw this boat on the lake, anchored.

Fishhawk Lake Camping-Gayle Rich-Boxman 2012

Now, with the temperature being 44 degrees, I would hope that their sleeping bag is a really WARM one! (Talk about "getting away from it all")...

and as my husband said, if you owned a boat, lost your house, you could still literally "live on the lake"!

Fishhawk Lake Real Estate...take the plunge.

Wow 44 degrees what a chill to the morning we won't see these chilly temperatures for quite a while in our area.

Oh dear, you don't suppose that is the honeymoon suite for the newlyweds do you? :)

At any rate, it looks like a nice spot to wake up - and yes let's hope the sleeping bag is a warm one.

Gayle-44* and it just turned Sept but I talked to a friend of mine from NY on Friday and she has had it that temps in the morning. Now that is what I could do. Live on a boat at Fishhawk and buy a plot of land. Maybe they wouldn't allow that though.  Love the hazy pic and I have slept in a house colder than that.

Gayle, I just wonder about those boats moored OUT in the lake at night getting hit by another boat unless they have a light on. Oh well, some people don't think safety. Temps do get cool further north for sure.... Fairbanks it has been snowing since August.

Hi Gayle,

What a beautiful picture!  The idea of 44 degrees doesn't wow me but we've spent a lot of time on houseboats through the years on vacations and I love that idea!

Have a great day!

JoAnn~ I'm figuring this is temporary. Just a nite on the lake!

Dorie~that's the attitude to have!

Pat, it was 39 yesterday morning...

Debb, I know that you know serious cold, so this is nothin'!

Sharon, when it gets cold like this and the water's warmer, we get that nice fog laying over the top of the lake.

Gary~not to worry--NOBODY sits out there all night and so that's why this was fun to see!

DeeDee,houseboats can be fun, especially if you don't have to go ashore to use the bathroom--these guys had to!

I could totally see my kids doing something like that. Heck they did sleep out in a tent in the backyard on Thursday, but I'm pretty sure they would have preferred the lake.

Gayle - you've captured yet another beautiful photo and it makes me even more excited than I already am to come visit you, the girls and the one and only, gorgeous Fishhawk Lake. Yesterday I bought a jacket with thoughts of Oregon temperatures! Hope you're having a wonderful Labor Day weekend and look forward to catching up soon. Give Takoda and Kasa a kiss for me!

Back to say hi Miss Gayle. Congrats on the features in Steve's groups. :) Did you ever find out who was on that boat sleeping in the cold?

Alexandra, I feel the romance all around me hugging me gently every day.

Tatyana,it's fun to dress up AND dress down for whatever the occasion...camping's one of those times to let it all hang out.

Carl, I think that's right! (After a visit to the restroom....)

Steve, yup, but better bring cash! No loan for this, I'm afraid.

Todd, you know the kids would love Fishhawk!

William, this was one of those photos that I just left alone. Simple is better sometimes.

KG~Good idea buying that jacket, missy!  Soon--SOON--you all will be here!  I'm counting the days!!!

Steve, you are too good to me!

So, Debb, it was a man and a woman, and I almost grabbed my camera again to get a shot of them heading for shore, but wasn't quick enough....SOMEONE couldn't "go in the lake" if you know what I mean...!!!

Hi Debb, simply gorgeous! It looks like a perfectly peaceful setting. I could actually see myself moving the oars through the water while in a canoe.....and I've never been IN a canoe!
