Here are the final numbers for the Dallas and Ft Worth areas for 2007:

Number of Sales: 80,740
% Change Year Ago: -7%

Average Price: $202,338
% Change Year Ago: +5%

Median Price: $149,900
% Change Year Ago: +1%

Active Listings: 47,668
% Change Year Ago: +7%

As you can see, the number of sales might be down, but prices are NOT down.  Stop watching National News statistics because we aren't following the National trends.  Buyers aren't getting 70 cents on the dollar.  Prices are still very competetive as an average.

Remember, I work all of North Dallas County and Collin County including Richardson, Plano, Allen, Frisco, Carrollton, Garland, Rowlett, McKinney, etc... my car will take us anywhere you need to go!!

Donna is completely right!

Real Estate Sales is still alive and well.

As a Foreclosure/Investment Home Specialist; I have been extremely BUSY!

There's always a niche-market to fill.  I also work with first-time HomeBuyers in Carrollton, Lewisville, Grapevine, and Coppell.  I've sold a few in Richardson too!!

Hi Donna, I wanted to stop by and say HOWDY :), not sure that will make it through spell check.  I have hesitated joining this group, but since you are here...I'm in.  I assume I can post listings to this group, there does not seem to be a lot of guide lines?  I also have a lot of people going between Houston/Katy and Dallas, and I assume you have the same, since there seems to always be a lot of movement between our two cities.  Look forward to getting to know you better.  Liz
