Come on Agents!  We Can Do Better Than This!

I have been driving past this sign now for over a month.  It just hangs there, like this, a sad testament to someone's inattention or indifference to a job well done.  Has the agent not been by since it was hung (presumably by someone other than herself.)  Has the homeowner never looked outside and seen it?

I know you are thinking that I should do something since it bothers me so much.  Perhaps I will - if it's still like that next time I drive by.

Real estate agents have a bad rap - ever wonder why?

Might be a prank, neighborhood kids. Nevertheless, someone responsible should have been by to fix it. If it bugs you (and it would bug me too), it probably bugs a lot of other potential clients also.

Well, one thing for sure, it draws attention on the property and broker.  Might be the reason they hung it upside down!

Sarah - pranks can happen - but as you said, it should still be fixed

Dan - kind of like cutting off your nose to spite your face

Margaret.  I have one of those "Under Contract" signs in my town too.  Right on the mail drag.

It's been up for 7 months.  I finally looked it up and it's a Short Sale.

That probably explains everything.

Lenn- 7 months - impossible!  It may explain it, but it shouldn't.

Margaret, you ought to stop by ad fix it and make "a scene" doing it...the owner may just hire you since you are obviously more diligent than their own agent!

I see broken signs failry frequently and wonder why no one fixes it. I mean the homeowner has to be aware at least, right? One major pet peeve that I see ALL the time is info boxes....EMTPY!!! If you are not going to stay on top of keeping the info box well-stocked, why on earth have an info box at all???? Drives me nuts!!!

Best,

Caroline

Caroline - half-hanging signs and empty info boxes are so commonplace that I don't even notice them anymore!

Margaret.  Nothing unusual for a short sale to be "under contract" for 7 months here.

Lenn - I was referring to the fact that the sign was askew for 7 months!

Patty - that's for sure

This says "under water" rather than "under contract".  I always all the agent when I see something like this, because it is generally some prankster who does, it, but how can the agent nt have been by in over a month.  That is a long escrow.
