I have to admit, I'm enjoying the challenges of hurricane Sandy. Just the fear of that name (sorry Sandys both far and wide) has closed our local schools, reduced the traffic in the community and has given me a good reason to hang out at home and relax.
After a few really busy months, a day off in the comfort of my warm home is like a gift. My son and I did go out and check on a few people this morning (in our rain gear), and now we're kicking back enjoying the quiet and soft sound of rain tapping on our windows.
The pantry is full, the generator system is ready to roll if need be and storm has put most things on hold temporarily until it passes. I don't mind a bit. It's a nice day to blog, read a book or just sit by the fire. It's all good. Be safe out there folks, and for heaven's sake, use good judgment.
