Only in December can you view Sully Plantation by Candlelight.
Sully Plantation was built in 1794 by Richard Bland Lee and his wife Elizabeth Lee. The home was built on a property owned by Richard Lee's father Henry Lee II comprising over 3,000 acres.
Sully was the country home of Richard Bland and Elizabeth Collins Lee, was built in 1794 on land inherited by his father, Henry Lee II. The house was situated on what was originally a 3,111 acre tract between Cub and Flatlick Runs, then part of Loudoun County, Virginia. Unlike many other plantations in the area Sully was known for growing other crops including, wheat, rye and corn. The property also had numerous fruit trees including apple for cider and peaches for brandy.
The candleight tours run December 8, 15 and 16, 2012, 5-7 p.m. Following the tour, you can enjoy a warm fire and cider Prepaid reservations required. $10/adult, $7 senior and child.
