December Holiday Challenge For A Graceful Transition Into 2013
Don't let your real estate business come to a stand-still during the Holiday Season. Here is a wonderful December Contest being sponsored by Kim and Kristine Halverson to help keep your business on track. The idea is to stay focused so that January doesn't feel like you're starting a new job. Great idea, ladies!
This December Holiday Challenge is about maintaining your business during the holiday months for a graceful transition into 2013.
I've noticed after 10+ years in the business that a lot of realtors completely unplug after the second week of December until after the new year. Then come back to the office and have to restart their business...I'm guilty of this too! Well it doesn't have to be that way. You can keep the flow and vitality going for your business even if you are taking some time off.
Holiday blogs are a great way to do this since people are on line looking for holiday activities! Create some fun blog posts about holiday happenings in your neighorbhood.
All you need to do for the December challenge is 5 blog posts on a holiday topic of your choice by December 31, 2012. Link your 5 blog posts in one comment below and receive 2,000 Active Rain points. *Adding this since there is some confusion. To receive the Active Rain points for the December challenge it's for blog posts in December. Your posts from December 1-31, 2012 will count. Should you need some ideas here is a great list of potential holiday topics from Mimi Foster:
- Local parades
- Seasonal zoo festivities
- Concerts, symphonies, philharmonic events
- Donation opportunities/events (toys, food, money, clothes)
- Where are the best Christmas lights in your area?
- Where can kids go to see Santa?
- Local races (5Ks ~ or 10Ks for those of you in CA)
- Thanksgiving and Christmas Religious services
- Bake sales
- Community dinners
- Theater events (A Christmas Carol, Nutcracker, etc.)
- Helicopter rides to see the Christmas lights
- Christmas teas
- Ornament making
It will be fun to read what's happening in your neighorhood for the holidays!
