Christmas Gifts for Gardeners

christmas gifts for gardeners

If you have a gardener on your Christmas gift-buying list, my first thought is you won't have any trouble finding great items they will love.

But then I realize you might think you can't get anything that looks like work (this goes back to the old admonition to NEVER buy your wife a new vacuum for Christmas), so that thought may keep you from buying gardening gifts.

Here's what you need to know:  to avid gardeners, it's not really work - they LOVE it.  Andf you get them something that makes gardening easier or more pleasant, they will love you for it.  It's like getting a new power tool for someone who does woodworking for fun.

So here's a few ideas for great Christmas gifts for gardeners to get you started.

Note:  each gift idea is linked to a source for buying the item, but I have not checked to see these are the best prices, best quality, or even best vendor.  The links are just so you can see examples of what's available.

For Indoor Gardening (so your giftee doesn't have to wait to enjoy their Christmas gift!)

Bill - congrats on your lemon tree!  I see you hail from FL, so probably can keep it outside pretty much year round. Here, we have to keep them indoors during winter. I've been told they'll survive in front of a sunny window but haven't had the opportunity to ask yet!

Pam - yes they are. As a matter of fact, I posted this one on Facebook, in the hopes that my family will see it and get some ideas!

Merry Christmas, ya'll!
