If you have been following my blogs, I've been out of town for two weeks in my other "niche", Carmel-by-the-Sea. In the meantime, several transactions have been percolating here in Crescent City, Del Norte County, California.
Now it's time to follow-up with some referrals here in Crescent City that were not quite ready earlier this month, but are now.
Besides referrals, some other buyers have been sitting on the fence, and I expect to see them here. The high end buyers tend to come from out-of-town, whereas the low end homes sell to renters who are now ready to purchase.
I am also going to pursue some listings now that the market has improved here. We now have as many sales in the "pending" status (no contingencies) as we used to have in 2006 and 2007. Obviously the lower end ones predominate, but several higher priced ones are showing up as well.
