OK. Try and follow along with me here. We're going on a journey... you and me.
I just put on my hip boots. My "waders" I guess you would call them. And then, in my imagination, I shrunk myself, and climbed into my own brain. Yes, I mean "inside" my brain.
I'm pretty small now. And I am sloshing around... trying to keep from slip'slidin' on those crevices that we see on pictures of the brain. I would hate to fall down and get all that gooey brain-stuff all over me, but that's the chance I guess I take, here.
I'm just lookin' around in here... trying to figure out what, if anything, is going with this gooey mess I call my brain... and why things happen like they do.
It's prolly a lost cause, but I just had to try.
Ya see... I just read another post a few minutes ago. It was short and sweet. About a Chili Cook-off.
And BOOM! Like a bolt of lightening, my brain grabs my attention, and yanks it away from the "chili"... and goes right straight to the last remaining catfish fillet I have sitting in the fridge.
I have this incredible urge, now. Almost unstoppable.
The powers of the universe are pulling me to get up from my computer, go to the fridge, and pan-fry my one last catish fillet. Blackened, Cajun catfish. Yum!
Why does my mind DO that to me? Gosh, I wish I knew.
OKAY! It's time for you to confess your inner thoughts. Choose one of these two. Either reach into your vast compendium of psychological and culinary knowledge... and tell me why this happened. Should I try and stop it, or should I encourage it further.
Or TWO... do YOU have times when something... something very innocent happens... and it acts as a stimulus, and zooms you away from whatever you were thinking... and plants your mind right in the middle something else totally unrelated?
I just shared my strange story. If you've had something similar happen to you... I invite you to please share yours.
