Jamestown’s home absorption rate has increased due to the inventory of homes on market and the decrease in home sales. This is not typical of the recent past market stats for this community.
- Breakdown of the 2 Jamestown RI single family home sales is as follows for January: 1 home sold under $300,000 and 1 home sold between $300,00-$400,000. In January, the under $400,000 home generated the buying interest.
- Home sales decreased from 7 homes sold in December to 2 homes in January. The cold winter has impacted Jamestown buyers interest and interest right now is waning. Expect a rebound in the next month's report.
The 2012 Jamestown RI home sales market had a 26% increase in home sales.
While annual home sale prices decreased by 9% in 2012. Buyers continue to buy waterfront and coastal RI real estate at lower sale prices.
