      Earlier this morning I read a post from Lenn Harley titled "Why Don't Some Folks in the Real Estate Industry Embrace ActiveRain?" Good question, especially since inquiring minds want to know.
      IMHO, I believe it boils down to instant gratification.
        In our "Microwave" society, we want it and want it now. i.e. Write a post, push the "Submit" button and Voila - the phone rings off the hook. Like they say down south, "It ain't gonna happen, Captain!"
      To me, ActiveRain is just another tool in my arsenal to get my name out and my product viewed by the masses. Like anything worthwhile, it takes time. If you are looking for instant gratification, stroke your dog. It will give you both warm fuzzies but it will not make the phone ring...

Michael, you are right when you offer that people think it's a matter of one or two blogs and then their phone rings off the hook. It takes time to build the Internet presence and once done, the intensity need not be as strong, as the information is there, it just needs a refresher every now and then to keep it burning. Michael, I'm just glad to have some of the great knowledge shared here on AR. It took 3 or 4 years for the phone to start ringing although that is viewed as an unexpected benefit as time marched on.
