Tens of Thousands Attend Rivers and Spires.

The weekend of April 18-20 for Clarksville's Rivers and Spires Festival was a huge success. By the number of people packed in the streets and parking lots of Historic Downtown Clarksville it appeared to be the largest turnout in the event's history.

The planners put every detail and thought into making it a grand event worthy of attracting crowds from neighboring states.

Rivers and Spires spreads over several blocks in and around Public Square with various entertainment venues running continuously on seven stages. As you walk block to block, you are welcomed with the next music genre and band and happy festival goers eating and drinking and laughing among themselves.

Men, women, children, babies and pets enjoyed the booths, arts and crafts, play areas for children, dance demonstrations and much more during the 3 day festival. Great food and games energized the festival goers and smiles could be seen on faces everywhere.

The headline acts were Christian Rock Group Building 429 and Country Star JoDee Mesina. It was standing room only, literally.

Tens of Thousands Attend Rivers and Spires. I wonder what next year's festival holds in store for those of us who wouldn't miss it for the world.

Beth, There were lots of people watching opportunities and I saw some really funny things.

Roger, It was fun and I enjoyed all of it.

Tom, It is the best festival I have ever been to. Perfectly planned.

Debbie, No the Wells Band didn't perform but they have in years past. They were in NC that weekend at a Bluegrass Festival.
