If It's Real Estate Related, "Ask Mary"
Throughout most of my business life, I've been involved in training, mentoring or education in some capacity. As a result, I tend to gravitate toward other "like-minded" individuals who enjoy teaching. One such wonderful person is Mary Yonkers.
Mary taught middle school for 16 years before deciding to switch gears. She got her Real Estate license in 1986. She's filled many roles since that time. She's listed and sold, managed and directed, recruited and trained.
She thought she was retiring at the end of 2007, but that was when she was recruited to teach for Alan Kells School of Real Estate & Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. Mary is a dedicated instructor with 27 years of experience, of course they wanted her! The more she uses social media and blogging about upcoming classes, the more her enrollment grows! Mary currently teaches pre-license classes, new agent training, continuing education and advanced classes for folks in Pennsylvania.
Nowadays, work is part-time for Mary, which allows her time to travel, volunteer and enjoy activities with family and friends. Once upon a time, Mary thought her career was a 24/7 commitment and she almost missed out on the most important opportunity of her life!
She enjoys her time on ActiveRain sharing her photos, blogging about upcoming classes, sharing tips and advice, writing about local "hot spots" and her personal "bucket list".
Thank you Mary for being there to help new agents get a strong start and to keep seasoned agents on the right path. As a life long learner myself, I appreciate what you do for others.
