A couple of weeks ago, in a post titled

A Father's pride

I shared a personal story of victory in writing about my son overcoming a fear and proving to himself that, yes, he can improve and do things that he thought he couldn't.

Today I have the joy of following up, and maybe even bragging a bit, to share that in the last Little League game, my formerly shy and overly cautious son had come out of his shell enough to get 2 hits at 2 at bats and perform good fielding.  He was recognized by the team coach in awarding to my son the Game Ball for good performance and for his hard work and improvement!
