Camas will be Hopping with its new brew pub - MillCity Brew Werks

Beer afficiandos have a lot to celebrate - Washougal Brewing Company is close to opening the doors of its downtown Camas pub - MillCity Brew Werks. The pub is slated for a June opening - with a Founder's party scheduled for June 8, 2013.

The 5,000 square foot brewery, on Cedar Street in Camas, WA, will be located the basement of the building. A pub and restaurant at street level will seat about 75 people.

Things will be hopping in Downtown Camas thanks to MillCity Brew Werks

MillCity Brew Werks is a welcome addition to charming downtown Camas and will likely result in more traffic for all of the shop owners in the area.

Here are some of their brews that will wet ( and whet) your whistle:

Fire Axe Cherry Wood Smoked Porter

Milk Stout

German Hefeweizen

Whiskey Barrel Aged Porter

Winter Ale

Mill City Blonde Ale,

Dragonfly CDA

Mill City IPA

Debb, The local pubs are really taking off and become the hotspots in any town. Millcity Brew Werks will likely follow the rest by being packed most of the time.

The PNW is such a hotspot for small craft breweries! I must say, that Cherry Wood Smoked Porter sounds really interesting. I might have to put that on my "when I visit Portland" list - in addition to hopping across the water to finally meet you in person! :)

Hi Krisen - yes indeed. They are popular spots for gathering.

Joanna - I do drink a beer - every now and again. Otherwise, I'm mostly a whiner winer too.

Adrian - they do - I think they missed the boat by not naming them after local things - but hey, I'm sure they're going to do fine without MY marketing input.

I personally would love to be able to sample some of the Millcity Brew Werks beer. These small breweries are coming back into style once again. Debb, A local brew pub is always good for local businesses. I love the smell in beer breweries. No much of a beer drinker unless the outside temps are really hot and the beer is really cold.
