There is one builder that I work with that used to promote a 1% rebate, but changed the marketing to a dollar amount equal to the 1% and offered it toward closing costs. They said it had much more positive response.

Joe. The builders incentives change from time to time. This rebate comes from the broker's fee that the builders pay me.

Builders all offer incentives to home buyers here, generally 1-1.5% of the contract price.
