Sun, Rain, Out Fishing - A Typical Summer Day In Crystal Beach Florida

I love fishing for the thrill of the catch. We mainly catch trout in my area, and we release them all. Our lakes get so much fishing pressure, that we feel it is best to put the fish back.

Barbara- I saw all of the rain in your area when I was looking at the radar.  But any day that you can get out and go fishing is a good day in my book!

Barbara-Jo, I understand the thrill of the hunt. I enjoy a day of shopping and don't have to buy a thing.

We had a huge thunderstorm here. The booming echoing off of the mountains was incredible! Glad Ronnie was able to get in a nice few hours of fishing.  I have only tried fishing with a pole once - when I was around age 19.

Barbara-Jo,  I come from a fisherman family.  My dad owned a fishing boat which he chartered for years.  Later my dad and both bothers bought new boats and commercial fished tuna and sold to Starkist.  That kind of fishing is hard core. But we love to fish in the open waters as well as lakes, rivers and steams.  It's about being in nature for me. I love the water! If we come home safe its always a good day on the water.

Not sure why I never got into it. We live on a lake, have a home on the ocean, so you would think fishing would be a part of where we live. Go figure.

Too bad Ronnie couldn't bring home the snook for dinner, but life is still good in Florida.

Barbara-Jo, I have never understood what it si about fishing, but you just explained it. It's the thrill of the catch - that's sort of what it is in real estate, too, isn't it? Maybe I will try fishing, lol! Yes, another day in Florida is a beautiful day. We also have afternoon rains but they have been afternoon deluges this year, lasting for hours instead of minutes. No worries, everything is green and gorgeous - just be sure to get out early if you want to play in the sun :)
