Inexpensive ideas for creating some space in the kitchen

A lot of my clients have been highly dissatisfied with the kitchen space in some the homes that I've shown them. And of course it's hard to tell by the pictures on the MLS depending on what type of agent took the photos. It's awful funny that typically the defaults in a home are purposely not shown in the listing photos. In my opinion; if listing agents would spend a few seconds more taking at least 15 pics of a listing instead of 1, it would save the entire profession of Realtors a bunch of time! It's not that complicated for the true professional that can manage their time.

So since I work mostly with buyers I have adapted to informing my clients of alternative ideas on saving space or altering a room to accommodate there likes when a home meets all their criteria except a small particular area. There are a lot of inexpensive modifications that can be made, like extending your lower cabinets with a base side pullout. Which is like a standard-width pullout cabinet door that has a few tiered shelves, a hidden trash can, or a spice rack. And don't forget about the cabinet pull out counter top to add prepping space. You can also use that empty space between cabinets with a suspended pot and pan rack. And an idea to save space and increasing accessibility to the utensils you use the most by mounting a stainless steel rail system on the wall to hang your favorite utensils!
