Rural King Farm and Home Store Opens in Spring Hill Florida
Rural King Farm and Home Store just opened its doors in Spring Hill Florida at 2468 Commercial Way (US 19) in Spring Hill.
The location was long referred to by locals as the "old K-Mart" and had been vacant for many years. No more! Rural King Farm and Home Store has been renovating and refurbishing the old site and turned it into a great store offering everything from pet supplies, automotive and hardware, plants, livestock supplies, fishing and hunting gear, apparel, and much more!
Originally, the store was scheduled to open the first week of September but when I drove by today and saw the parking lot full of cars, I decided to take a closer look. I had never been to one of their stores since this is the first of its kind in Florida and I was impressed by the variety and selection of items they offer.
Where in Spring Hill, Florida, would you go to buy a bale of hay?
Now, there is no question about that anymore, there it is, at Rural King neatly stacked and shelved!
They also have a great selection of pet food and all kind of other animal related items such as bird food and live traps for vermin as well as a good selection of livestock items and feed.
For those who are interested in keeping chickens, Rural King has some very nice chicken coops. I was told that the chickens themselves will not be available until October when it gets a bit cooler. Hernando County new chicken ordinance allows residents to keep chickens with certain restrictions.
You don't have to be a farmer to shop at Rural King Farm and Home Store!
I really was amazed at the variety of items available. Whether you are looking for an item for your garden or your home, you are likely to find it here. Of course, if you are a farmer or rancher, this might just be the place where you will find what you need as well! Personally, I was intrigued by some Cowboy boots!
